A guy tryed to smuggle 300 parrots into a country on the back of a bicycle. The guy was seen and he fled to the forest. I thought this was very funny cause why would they like try to smuggle the birds in the country if he new he would get introuble and why would he do it on a bike casue then he cant get away.

In a Cleveland, Ohio suburb, a man was arrested and sentenced to spend a night homeless. The punishment came after 28 year old, Salvation Army bell ringer, Nathen Smith was charged with stealing one of eight kettles used to collect donations that are used to pay for food, clothing, and shelter for the homeless. Smith was fitted with a GPS device and spent an uncomfortable night learning what it's like to be one of the people whom he stole $250 from.
I honestly think this was a great punishment for a really tasteless crime. Maybe you don't have money, but who steals from the Salvation Army? Hopefully it teaches him a lesson.

This article was about a man who spent the night outside, homeless, as a sentence for stealing one of the eight salvation army kettles. The kettle contained about $250.
I think that the sentence was appropriate for the crime. It made salvation army worker realize who he was stealing from. I doubt that he will ever do it again.

A New York man was arrested for taking his 14 foot Burmese python for a walk. The man was reported by an animal cruelty society was put into custody. The snake was then placed in an out of state reptile habitat.
I think that this is just another example of the police taking a situation completely out of proportion. If anything, tell the man that his actions may not be safe for him or the snake. There's no need to put the man in jail and take away the snake he paid a lot of money for.

Shanghai's subway operator has fired an employee who uploaded security camera video of a couple kissing on one of its trains to the internet. The company has offered an apology to the couple, who's video ended up on YouTube. It showed the couple kissing and embracing. I think this is stupid and the man deserved to get fired. You must be really bored if you're going to get security videos and put them on YouTube.

In Florida there was a mysterious death of a man in a pool. Authorities now think the man may have been murdered. His wife spent over $100,000 dollars on a "voodoo" priestess named "Mama" to bring riches into her home and rid haunting spirits away from her home. This story is definitely weird and the crime warrants another look. If the woman did murder her husband her guilt is probably making her feel like he is haunting her in her home.

A student is suspended from his school for dressing up as a pirate. The student feels that his rights are being violated because it is part of his Pastafarian religious beliefs. Pastafarians believe that pirates are divine beings and feel that the shortage of pirates led to global warming. The school says that his punishment has nothing to do with his religion but because of his refusal to not wear pirate outfits.
I think this is the most rediculous article i have ever read. With all the important issues that schools should be worried about, why is a kid getting introuble for wearing a costume. I think that if he is not endangering himself or others it shouldnt be a problem.

A man may face 30 years in prison for stealing a 52 cent donut according to St. Louis police. Scott Masters slipped a donut into his pocket while at a local donut shop and shoved the clerk when attempting to escape. Since Masters already has a criminal record it is being called a strong armed robbery which could land him 30 years in prison.
This again is just another reason our criminal justice system is screwed up. Worry about murders and rapists, not a donut thief.

A man was arrested after robbing a convenience store. He was discovered only because he left the holdup note he had written. He used the back of his own ATM receipt to write a note demanding money from a store clerk, which had his bank account number on it.
I think this was pretty funny. Out of all the things you can write a holdup note on, this man ended up using his ATM receipt. Not very bright on his part.

A lady was driving drunk when she killed a man on a bicycle. Her blood alcohol level was .156. She was given a longer sentence after she was caught on the phone with a friend laughing about the situation. They called her inhuman. Her friend told her he was proud of her for killing this man. She is now serving 10 1/2 years, one year shorter than the max.
I think that whether she laughed or not she should have been given the maximum sentence. It's sick to hear about people who laugh and are proud of themselves for killing innocent people, then act like nothing happened.

This article is about a family of shoplifters. The youngest shoplifter being only 5 years old. They were trying to steal $500 worth of merchandise from a Target store. They were caught on surveillance footage cutting open boxes and putting the items in bags and backpacks.
I can see kids stealing items but a whole family. I couldn't believe a whole family was shoplifting. The parents are teaching their children that they must shoplift. There showing them it's a way of life and that it's not wrong.
This part is the part i missed the man was told to pull over but he fled from were they had tried to pull him over. He had over 300 birds only 2 died from being thrown when the man tried to flee.
In my opinion the man shouldn't have been even smuggling in birds, what kind of person smuggles in birds?

This article is about dwarfs robbing long-distance coaches by sneaking into the luggage. Once the dwarfs are inside the bags, they split out from the bag and look through them. they have stolen thousands of pounds in cash, gems, and other valuables.
In my opinion, yes dwarfs are small but that doesn't mean they could sneak into bags.
A grandmother her daughter and her grandchildren stole 900 dollars worth of merchandise from targer in Lodi, California. There was a 5 and 8 year old. The 5 year old only took a pack of gum. The grandmoher and daughter stole an assortment of mp3's, digital cameras,dvd's,jewlry, and sporting equipment. the grandmother and daughter were charged with burglary,grand theft, vandalism, and contributing to the delinquincy of a minor.
This article made me chuckle just a little bit. I think that some people are kinda stupid for stealing from a place that has cameras everywhere (target) at least steal from a place that doesn't have many. It also sucks for the kids because they'll prolly have the cops all over them the rest of there life and it sucks for when they go to apply for a job.

In Middletown New Jersey a cop spent his last day on the force writing out tickets to his colleagues for various things such as expired inspection stickers. Cpl. Frank Holden,claimed that he was just doing his job, but in this case it is considered to be "his side of the story". The township is considering challenging the tickets in court on the basis of validity, but how is it a matter of validity when the evidence is in plain view. In my opinion I think that the cop had good reason to do what he did, after all he was doing his job. in a way I think it is funny, because the people who are on the inside know about issues like expired plates and it came back and bit them in the butt.

the spanish driver is sueing the dead cyclist for damaging his luxury car with his body. he is sueing the family for $29,300. the spanish driver stated,"I'm also a victim in all of this, you can't fix the lad's problems, but you can fix mine." i think this is an outraage i mean the kid is dead and is the driver that stuck up to do this deserves to be sued in return is what i think.

This article is about a man name Mathew Keuscher who was suspected of mail theft. When police approached him they saw the mail and the uspect bolted out of the car and eventually lost the police. a k-9 unit eventually tracked Keuscher to a local hot tub.
The dude in my opinion is a genius. Props to him on gettin away from the cops. If it wasnt for the k-9 unit he woulda been scotch free, untill he was tracked down again, it was funny to read.

This article was about a man who took his 14-foot Burmese Python out for a walk. Curtis Dewberry was seen walking down Montauk Highway, Long Island by an officer for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals--who then called the police. Dewberry is currently held in custody, while the 70 lb. snake is being sent to an out of state reptile habitat. Dewberry is charged for animal cruelty because the python needs temperatures of at least 45 degrees to live. I think that this crime wouldn't of occurred if Dewberry was caught with a python by a regular police officer. I think that people should pay more attention to the pets who are beaten, than charging someone for cruelty when the python was "resting comfortably".

This article is about a tokyo teacher who is getting accused of approaching 6 boys between ages 12 and 13 and making them strip. He then took their underpants. The students were held at knifepoint and they were not in the same school he teaches at. Police declined to comment on the case and the principle of the school said he was a dedicated teacher.
I personally think this article is pathetic. Its weird that a guy would want little boys underpants, rather than little girls. Either way i think he is in the wrong and should be punished. If he stops boys on the street, i can only imagine what he does to the students he teaches to.
This article was about a group of theives who used a midget as their robber. They packed the little man in a large suit case and he would rob others that had their suit cases under the bus. The bus company is considering instaling video surveillance cameras.
One lady reported that she saw two men squeezing a large, heave bag into the luggage space under the bus, when she opened her luggage she found a camera, purse and other items missing.
